Everything's better with sprinkles

We have a friend who really likes egg cosies. She runs a bed and breakfast, so she really uses them. Here are some (silly) cosies we made to give her.

We made the pink one a while ago, and then we got all caught up in the cherry part. We tried tiny pompoms, but we are really bad at making pompoms of any size. Then, we hit on the idea of the felted orb. There are lots of sites that will show you how to make a felted bead. Of all the things a girl could do with a felted bead, we think this is the most sensible. :)

Of course, what would a cupcake be without sprinkles? Or, in this case, seed beads?
Beads just make everything better, don't you think?

Lucky us

It's a soggy day in the Kingdom. Just the right kind of day to find a treat in the ol' mailbox..... a package all the way from Hawaii! Karen of Sew Karen-ly Created took part in a blog hop for a new line of fabrics designed by Mark Hordyszynski from Maui. The Mad Hatter of Maui. The prize was FIVE fat quarters and a dazzling colour card that was tied with a bright orange ribbon (almost too pretty to untie!) And we won!!

A real day brightener! Thanks, Karen and Polly! Thanks, Mark!
