My friends in the Maple Leaf Quilt Guild are collaborating to develop a design for a Hot Flash Quilt. It was Sherri M's idea originally and several others have contributed. Time Again For Quilting!
First, I'm taking part in a Round Robin. I've never done this before in my life! But the ladies are so warm and friendly that I feel quite comfortable with them. That's my block on the left. I'm calling it "Purple Ladies Sing The Blues".
As well, Nancy is organizing a Stitch-Along project called Postcards From Canada: a Quilter's Odyssey, featuring 20 different places in Canada....a new one each Sunday. Here's mine: Some of the other ladies have cleverly incorporated seascapes and ocean fabrics into their blocks. Mine looks more like a visit to Halifax on an acid trip!

I also made a label for my Postcards quilt. Want one? Just give me a shout.

Grand National Quilt Show 2006
Both Supermarket Showdown and Thongbirds (the quilt that follows) were juried into the Grand National Quilt Show at the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery. The show will take place from April 30 - June 25, 2006. Both these pieces were hand appliqued, hand embroidered and hand quilted. The theme for this year's show is Wild Life.
